Sea Days
Do you get
bored on sea days? Not even. Don attended
a lecture on Africa and he spent 2 hours on the verandah reading. I signed up
for the watercolor classes, played Mahjong and also taught some new people to
play. On this cruise I organized Mahjong
so we have a dedicated room, refreshments and games. We had a block party making it easy to meet
others on our level. The wine and
canapés were served in the halls outside our cabins and the ship officers
zoomed by to say hello. Ten floors and hundreds of cabins so they had just
moments as they circled each floor. The couple next door are from Las Vegas.
Don visited the library and I recommended two books to Sandy. You will love “Lessons in Chemistry” and
Shelby van Pelt’s first book “Remarkably Bright Creatures”. After dinner in the
Lido, the upscale cafeteria, we played trivia and then our typical game of
canasta. So the first sea day is done
and we were never bored. Today we saw
the Tai Chi class on our way to check out the fitness center. So many lectures conflicted with water color
and Mahjong. Ah shucks. Tomorrow.
